Classes For Beginners

Begin your journey into yoga with comfort & ease... Many of our clients are beginners, who are looking to gain greater flexibility, strength & balance! We wholeheartedly welcome beginners and age, size or ability will not prevent you from learning and developing your own personal practice!

Learn the basic foundations of yogic breath, movement & philosophy!  Enjoy learning in our cozy relaxing studio with our knowledgeable teachers!

**We offer a Beginners Series. each season of the year in addition to our regularly scheduled beginners classes!  .The series is 8 weeks (1 class per week) and builds on the foundations of yoga & progresses each week, so that you can build your practice slowly & safely! 

***Advance Registration & Payment is required for the series, however, you are welcome to drop in to any of our regularly scheduled beginners classes!*

Learn the basic foundations of Yoga including Pranayama (Yogic breathing), Asana (movement), Meditation, Mantra (chanting) and Philosophy! 

You will learn approximately 30 plus postures including Sun Salutations and modifications to dial your practice up or down to suit your needs!  We start at the beginning and build each week to learn proper alignment and breath flow to ensure a comfortably, safely and efficiently!

Adaptive / AccessibleYoga

We are dedicated to provide yoga instruction to people of ALL Abilities and offer YogAbility, a  chair and standing class for people with mobility challenges related  to injury, surgery, weight, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and other physical issues. 

Owner / instructor Tanya Sage is a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), stroke and cancer survivor and understands the obstacles and frustrations of limited mobility, as well as, the emotional repercussions that arise after a life altering occurrence. We currently offer our "YogAbility" Chair & Standing class on Tuesdays 3:30-4:45 pm and Thursdays 7:00-8:00 am!  See "Classes" for a full description.

Corporate Yoga

We are happy to announce the addition of Corporate Yoga to our offerings!

We will gladly visit your company (Greater Waterbury area) for a 60 minute class, you can choose to have a Chair / Standing Yoga class (to help your staff stay healthy while sitting all day!) or a standard Mat class!  If you choose a Chair / Standing class you will need to provide the chairs (no wheels). If you choose a Mat class your staff can use their own mats! We include lots of stretching to relieve back pain, tightness & tension in the hands, neck & shoulders & also helps to increase circulation in the lower extremities! Breath Work & Meditation will help to reduce stress & create greater  clarity & focus for your staff!

Corporate Yoga Fee: $100

Check with your Human Resources department to see if your company offers Peerfit!  If you are an employer contact and connect with "Peerfit" who we partner with, to provide your employees with any of our regularly scheduled yoga classes at our center, so that they can  attend when it suits their busy schedule to enjoy the calming environment of a serene studio space and be a happier and more focused and productive employee!

Energetic Classes

We offer an Energetic Flow class on Wednesday evenings (6:30-7:45) with Kinesiologist / Yoga Instructor Corina Parkmond and a more moderate Vinyasa flow class, Rise & Shine on Tuesday mornings (7:00-8:15) with Tanya Sage! 

Lotus Group

The Lotus Group is a FREE community group that meets on the 1st Monday of each month 6:30-8:00 pm to learn, practice and discuss meditation, yoga and more!  Each session begins with 45 minutes of gentle yoga and is followed by 45 minutes of meditation / discussion with American Buddhist Monk Brian Vaugh!  The group has guest speakers from time to time, and an occasional field trip to an interesting location! It is an open group and you can attend as often as you wish! (The dates may change occasionally due to holidays or other events)

"Pelacore"  with Holly Dixon!

Join Holly for "Pelacore" a powerful & effective way to strengthen your core & the muscles of the pelvic floor!

Strengthening your core is a huge enhancement to your yoga practice or fitness program!  There is a reason its called the CORE, as it is the center of your overall movement & strength, so if it is weak your overall workout suffers.

Pelcore also helps to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, as sometimes due to surgery, injury, aging or postpartum, our pelvic floor muscles weaken significantly, causing a myriad of challenging issues, including feeling a loss of independence or embarrassment.  

Regain your strength, confidence & independence by joining Holly every Wednesday for a 45 minute Pelvic Floor and core strengthening session!  45 minutes a week is plenty of time to get you on track to a stronger healthier Core and Pelvic floor!
